I wish to thank you, it is an honour to have my paintings displayed in your homes and offices. I hope that you continue to enjoy them and please check back to see new work often!
WHAT ARE PASTELS?
Pastels are pure colour pigment, there is no chalk, they have a minimal amount of a binder to keep the pigment in the stick form but if dropped they can and usually will disintegrate into a pile of pigment powder. I very much enjoy the challenge of manipulating the pastel form, which can be round, square, thin or thick to make the required stroke. The draw to pastels for me is the electric colour palette, they are vibrant with reflected light!
